1. It runs in the family

Наверняка вы хоть раз в своей жизни думали о том, чтобы поехать получать образование в какой-нибудь иностранный университет или уехать жить в другую страну! А вы хоть раз пробовали осуществить эту задумку? Если нет, то первое, с чем вы столкнетесь - это барьер в виде языка. Нет языка - нет переезда! Да, пусть и грубо, но это правда.
И сегодня я хочу рассказать вам о том, как на помощь в этом нелегком деле - переезде в другую страну - может прийти международный экзамен по английскому языку IELTS.
Сегодня мы увидим, что это вообще за штука такая - IELTS, познакомимся со структурой теста, а также вы получите несколько советов, как готовиться и по каким учебникам.
Почему все больше и больше людей сдают IELTS?
Первая и самая главная причина, почему многие сдают этот экзамен - это его универсальность. Сдав его, вы можете поступать в любой , Австралии, Новой Зеландии и, вероятно, США. Кроме того, этот экзамен сдают также при желании перебраться в другую страну, ведь миграционные службы в первую очередь обращают внимание на знание языка.
Из чего состоит экзамен?
Структура теста, как и большинства , одинакова и состоит из 4 частей: чтение, письмо, аудирование и говорение.
- Чтение.
Эта часть представляет собой тестирование на ваше общее понимание текстов на иностранном языке. Тест состоит из 40 вопросов, на которые вам дадут 60 минут. Кстати, в них входит время на заполнение бланка ответов.
Тексты обычно идут на общие темы из газет, журналов и т.д.
Самая распространенная проблема в этой части - нехватка времени. Но могу сказать одно: времени достаточно, если использовать правильные тактики. Ведь как мы привыкли: вчитываемся в текст, пытаемся мысленно перевести каждое слово - и это самые главные ошибки! Тактика успешной сдачи этой части заключается в том, что текст нужно просканировать, найти ответы на вопросы и идти дальше!
- Письмо .
Я абсолютно уверена, что письмо - самая сложная часть практически для любого кандидата, ведь здесь проверяется очень много составляющих: ваши знания правил написания текстов, в первую очередь; ваше знание грамматики и лексики; и более того, ваше умение правильно писать слова.
Здесь придется написать эссе или либо описать график, либо написать письмо.
Самая большая ошибка, которую делают кандидаты - это их попытки писать сложные тексты со сложными словами. Не надо! Лучше пишите тексты проще, но правильно, нежели потерять баллы из-за глупых ошибок!
- Аудирование.
Часть, на выполнение которой дается только 40 минут на 40 вопросов.
Очень сложной эта часть может стать, если вы столкнетесь с неизвестными словами. Но есть пути решения этой проблемы: слушать как можно больше … всего! Слушайте радио, заполняйте эти пробелы практикой и все получится.
- Говорение.
Самая быстрая часть! Кандидат встречается один на один с экзаменатором, а ваш ответ в этот момент записывается.
Сначала кандидат отвечает на общие вопросы от экзаменатора, потом кандидат получает карточку с темой, на которую должен говорить 1-2 минуты, после чего снова отвечает на более сложные вопросы экзаменатора.
Самое страшное, что может помешать вам в этой части - это нервы и переживания! И это нормально. Поэтому мой совет в том, чтобы тренироваться как можно больше. Как только у вас будет уверенность в своих знаниях, уровень переживаний значительно снизится! Вот вам полноценный образец теста — знакомьтесь и оценивайте свои силы!

- Определитесь с методом подготовки.
Вы вполне можете подготовиться самостоятельно, либо же найти преподавателя для подготовки - это ваш выбор. Могу посоветовать одно: если вы уверены в своей дисциплинированности и уверены, что будете самостоятельно и регулярно готовиться - тогда вас ждет успех. Если вы хоть немного сомневаетесь — занимайтесь с учителем, который вас проконтролирует. - Составьте план подготовки.
Без плана - никуда. Определитесь, в какие дни, какой частью экзамена вы будете заниматься. И следуйте этому плану. Помните о том, что самодисциплина и систематизированность - это основа хорошей подготовки. - Определите свои слабые и сильные стороны.
У каждого человека есть свои слабые и сильные стороны касательно изучения языка, над которыми нужно работать. Могу сказать из личного опыта: у меня есть ученица, которая прекрасно справляется с аудированием, потому что последние лет 7, мне кажется, смотрит фильмы, слушает радио и аудиокниги только на английском. А вот с письмом у нее катастрофические проблемы. Научить ее писать хорошее эссе заняло много времени. Поэтому и вам следует сразу определиться со своими слабыми сторонами, которым придется уделить немного больше времени. - Определитесь с ресурсами подготовки.
Уделите особое внимание учебникам для подготовки. Сейчас издательства предлагают тысячи книг, но выберите те несколько, которые сможете изучить от начала и до конца. Нет смысла брать десяток книг. Конечно, если у вас для подготовки есть несколько лет, тогда да - можно. Но зачастую у кандидатов есть либо пару месяцев, либо полгода-год. Так вот, в этом случае лучше определиться с одной-двумя книгами, чем тратить время на десяток других. Чуть ниже расскажу вам, по каким книгам лучше всего заниматься.
Кроме книг, уделите внимание просмотру видео и прослушивания радио на английском, чтобы улучшить навыки аудирования. А также не забывайте про практику устной речи!
- Избавляйтесь от всех своих страхов.
Любой экзамен - это стресс. Но, скажу вам честно, вокруг IELTS ходит столько слухов и мифов, что бояться уже в принципе не имеет смысла.

Письмо - самая сложная и нелюбимая часть экзамена для русскоговорящих кандидатов. Поэтому подготовка к ней должна быть очень тщательной.
5. Listening for IELTS
.
Такого же особого внимания занимает аудирование. Возьмите себе на вооружение эту книгу, если это ваша слабая сторона, либо просто для систематической подготовки к экзамену.
6. Improve your IELTS Reading Skills
.
Каждая часть экзамена - это использование правильных тактик выполнения. Узнать про эти тактики вы можете в книге, а также протестировать их все на практике.
7. Objective IELTS
.
Если, как я и говорила, у вас не так много времени для подготовки к экзамену, тогда возьмите одну книгу, с которой вы сможете пройтись по всем составляющим теста. Эта книга одна из таких.
